Frequently Asked Questions
Below are answers to the questions patients ask us most: booking, insurance, and what to expect at CarePlus Foot and Ankle Specialists in Bellevue. For a specific condition or treatment, follow the links near the bottom to that service page, where you will find more detail.
Is CarePlus accepting new patients?
Yes. Dr. Lee welcomes new patients from Bellevue and across the Eastside. Call (425) 455-0936 or book online to request a visit.
How do I book an appointment?
You can book online through our scheduling page or call our office at (425) 455-0936 during business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. For urgent problems, call early in the day.
Do you offer same-day appointments?
Often, yes. Same-day visits for urgent foot and ankle problems are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Call early in the day, and see our same-day and urgent foot care page for details.
Do I need a referral to see a podiatrist?
In most cases you can see a podiatrist directly without a referral, but some insurance plans require one. Check with your insurer, or call our office and we will help you find out.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring a photo ID, your insurance card, a list of any medications you take, and any relevant records or imaging from prior foot or ankle care. Noting when your symptoms started and what makes them better or worse helps Dr. Lee get to the right answer faster.
What insurance do you accept?
CarePlus accepts most major insurance plans common across the Eastside, including Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, First Choice Health, Humana, Kaiser Permanente of Washington, LifeWise, Medicare, Premera, Regence, Tricare, and UnitedHealthcare. Because coverage details vary, the fastest way to confirm is to call (425) 455-0936 with your plan information, and we will verify your benefits.
Do you accept Medicare?
Yes, we accept Medicare for medically necessary foot and ankle care, including diabetic foot exams. Call our office to confirm coverage for your specific visit.
Are custom orthotics covered by insurance?
Sometimes. Some plans cover custom orthotics, while others apply them to a deductible or exclude them entirely. We’re happy to help check your benefits, but coverage cannot be guaranteed. Patients are ultimately responsible for verifying their own insurance coverage. Learn more on our custom orthotics page.
