Can I see a podiatrist today at CarePlus?

Often, yes. We often have room for urgent cases on a first-come, first-served basis. We don’t set aside reserved same-day slots, so availability depends on how full the day already is. If we genuinely can’t fit you in that day, we’ll get you the next available appointment and help you decide whether you should be seen sooner somewhere else.

What counts as an urgent foot or ankle problem?

Call us the same day if you’re dealing with any of these:

• A painful or infected ingrown toenail
• A foot or ankle injury you can’t comfortably put weight on (a possible sprain or fracture)
• Signs of infection, such as redness, swelling, warmth, or drainage
• A new or worsening wound or sore, especially if you have diabetes
• Sudden, severe heel or arch pain

When you’re not sure how serious it is, call and describe what’s going on. We’ll help you decide whether you need to be seen today.

What should I expect at a same-day visit?

A same-day urgent visit works like any focused appointment: an on-site evaluation of the problem, digital X-rays if we need to rule out a fracture, a clear diagnosis, and treatment that begins the same visit when appropriate, so you don’t leave in the same pain you came in with. We’ll also explain next steps and whether any follow-up is needed.

How do I book a same-day or urgent visit?

The fastest way is to call (425) 455-0936 and tell us it’s urgent. Same-day requests are best handled by phone so we can assess how quickly you need to be seen. You can also book online for the next available appointment, though same-day openings move quickly and aren’t always shown online.

When should I go to urgent care or the ER instead?

Some problems need emergency care, not an office visit. Go to the nearest emergency room or call 911 if you have:

• Heavy bleeding that won’t stop
• An open or visibly deformed fracture (bone through the skin, or a foot/ankle pointing the wrong way)
• Signs of a spreading infection, such as fever, red streaks moving up the leg, or new numbness
• A diabetic foot wound with spreading redness, foul odor, or blackened tissue
• Sudden loss of feeling or inability to move the foot

If you need urgent attention in the evening or on a weekend when our office is closed, an urgent care clinic or emergency room is the right place to start. We’re happy to provide follow-up care afterward.
